Gurgaon-based ZiffyHomes has raised seed funding of Rs 2 crore from a clutch of individual investors. The round was led by TradeIndia.com CEO Bikky Khosla and MD at Shree Sharda Group, Anirudh Agarwal. The duo will also join ZiffyHomes as Board Members.

Established in May 2015, the company relies on technology to hand-hold both landlords and tenants from searching for the right properties, to closing the tenancy contracts.

“Combining technology with on the ground operations is our USP,” says CEO & Co-Founder of ZiffyHomes, Sanchal Ranjan. “With these funds, we plan to foray into the studio apartments segment which would further cater to niche section of executive class accommodation,” he adds.

With rising incomes, increased exposure to global housing standards and frequent movement across cities for employment, the Indian consumer is becoming more demanding in terms of good amenities, quality interiors and well-connected localities.

“”India has recently developed a growing appetite for rental housing,” further adds Lead Investor, Anirudh Agarwal. “ZiffyHomes intends to exceed the expectations of both landlords and tenants by plugging the efficiency, trust and knowledge loophole,” he adds.
