Credai Signs MOU with IGBC

The Apex Group of real estate developers Credai plans to develop green building projects in five cities in order to promote the green movement of the country.

In this context, at the ceremony for the establishment of the Credai Youth Wing and the Credai Women’s Wing in Hyderabad, it also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

In a statement, they said that they aim to strengthen the Indian green building ecosystem with the participation of Credai members in training and awareness programs, as well as to promote green affordable housing.

Satish Magar (Credai National President) said, “Credai has consistently maintained its position as a leading industry body, to promote environmentally friendly constructions and methods and this is another important milestone in Indian property sustainable growth.”

Credai urges its developers to adopt a new, sustainable approach to construction to ensure holistic growth for all stakeholders in the industry, he said.

“CII is the leader in the green movement, ranging from buildings, processes, technologies, supply chain to products in all areas, such as production, services, hospitality, health services, education throughout the country,” said Pradeep Bhargava, past chairman of the CII Western region and chairman of the GreenCo Rating.
