Borivali West Housing Redevelopment Proposal Advances in Approval Process

Mumbai: The proposed redevelopment of Hilton Co-operative Housing Society in Ram Nagar, Borivali West, has reached the environmental appraisal stage, taking the project forward in the city’s ongoing redevelopment pipeline.

The project is being undertaken by Dotom Super Structures LLP and has an estimated project cost of approximately ₹90 crore. The proposal involves redevelopment of the existing property into a residential-cum-commercial development.

The environmental appraisal process forms part of the regulatory scrutiny required before a project can proceed towards subsequent approvals and construction-related stages. The assessment considers the proposed development and its potential environmental implications.

The project adds to the redevelopment activity being witnessed across Mumbai’s western suburbs, where ageing residential properties are increasingly being considered for reconstruction and modernisation.

Borivali West has a well-established residential catchment and benefits from connectivity to other parts of the western suburbs. Redevelopment projects in the area are expected to alter the existing built environment while creating newer residential and commercial spaces.

The Hilton CHS proposal will need to progress through the applicable regulatory and statutory approvals before construction can commence. Further project details, including the final development configuration and implementation schedule, will depend on the outcome of the approval process.
