LDA to Act Against 2,747 Plot Registrations in Sushant Golf City

Mumbai : The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is preparing action against 2,747 plot registrations in Sushant Golf City, after scrutiny found that the properties were allegedly sold despite being kept as mortgage with the authority.

The township, developed by Ansal API, had 3,489 plots reportedly placed under mortgage with the LDA. Records examined by the authority indicate that 2,747 of these plots were later sold and registered.

The assessment has also revealed the status of the remaining properties. 742 mortgaged plots are reportedly still unsold, while construction has taken place on several of the plots that were sold. Around 440 plots have large houses or bungalows, while 81 plots have partial construction.

The LDA is considering cancellation of the registrations of the 2,747 plots and may pursue the matter through the appropriate legal process.

The proposed action could affect buyers who purchased properties included in the identified list. The legal status of individual properties will depend on their documents and the outcome of the proceedings.

The development comes amid wider scrutiny of Sushant Golf City and Ansal API’s development-related matters.
