People are social beings that strive for relationships and a sense of belonging. The extent to which we succeed in building long-term relations in adulthood is largely determined by the level of social development we have had as children. Today, parents are more aware and involved in their children’s overall development.

Importance of an open space.

In the metropolitan cities, obtaining a land apart from living becomes a challenge. It’s not easy to develop an open space for children where there is a constraint of land compared to the increasing population. Builders have found the importance of an open area and have come up with the design where every available sq ft of space can be put to use in construction, and because of this, it provides a little space for creating gardens where children can play.

Sometimes, this small space isn’t enough for children to enjoy their games, so parents are forced to make their children enrolled in classes or sports clubs where they can have some physical activities like Football, Volleyball, Tennis, Gymnastics or Dance.

But all of these activities are carried out under the supervision of parents. Thus, children don’t get the benefits of free play. Children must interact with their peers to ensure adequate social development.

While parents care for falls and scraped knees, but a child has never grown up without a few falls and this too helps them to know their weaknesses and how to be careful in the future.

How can Developers ensure to fulfill children’s need?

Given the constraints in cities such as Mumbai, constructing open spaces and gardens may not be workable for many developers. But that does not mean that they are unable to create such children’s play area, or take advantage of the podium area, to create such spaces for children. Everything has to do with a little strategic planning and a logical perspective that will not require unrealistic expenses or the limitation of the precious land.

Developers should remember that these buildings will belong as a home for young families with children. They should plan emotional and social development facilities at the time the proposals are drawn up. It is important that the real estate sector goes beyond the narrow view of immediate commercial gains and creates something to nurture future generations-not only by giving them a home but also a happy life.
