NOIDA: The marketing offices and remaining inventory of three projects with outstanding debts totaling Rs 1,000 crore were sealed on Thursday by the Noida Authority.

The action was taken against two Gardenia Group projects in sectors 46 and 75 for failing to pay debts totaling Rs. 707 crores, as well as a Logix project in sector 137 for failing to pay Rs. 380 crore.

A team of representatives from the work circle, planning, and group housing departments carried out the sealing campaign on Thursday. One tower with 110 unsold apartments and the project office in Gardenia Glory in Sector 46 were sealed.

In September 2009, the project received its allocation. Seven of the 20 towers that have been approved have received occupancy certificates. The builder owes Rs 603 crore as of March 31.

The Authority sealed one unsold unit in a different project in Sector 75. In 2012, this project received approval.

Over Rs 103 crore are owed by the builder to the Authority.

Two unsold flats, two store locations, and a marketing office were sealed in Sector 137 of Logix Blossom County.

The developers have not submitted an application under the flat registry schemes or the reschedule meant policy, according to OSD Prasun Dwivedi of the group housing department. Even after receiving numerous notices, they failed to deposit any money with the Authority.

Such action will be pursued in the future against defaulter builders for the execution of outstanding registries and the recovery of dues.
