Goregaon Industrial area, major fire breaks out at two godowns.

On Saturday morning, a senior official said, a major fire broke out at two godowns in an industrial region in suburban Goregaon. During the fire-fighting procedure, two firemen were wounded, he said.

At 6:57 am the fire broke out in Plot no 7, in Goregaon, Udyog Nagar Industrial Estate. “It was limited to two godowns of chemical and pharmaceutical products in the second floor of the ground plus two-story buildings,” says Chief Fire Brigade Officer, P. S. Rahangdale, Mumbai.

At 7.25 am, the fire brigade unit reached the place and started a fire procedure instantly, he said. ‘The job of dousing the flames was done by eight fire fighting engines,’ he said. The reason behind the accident will be discovered after an inquiry, Rahangdale added.
