BMC Floats ₹6.96-Crore Tender for Siddhivinayak CHS Redevelopment in Ghatkopar East

Mumbai: A redevelopment proposal involving Siddhivinayak Co-operative Housing Society in Ghatkopar East has moved into the tendering stage, with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) inviting bids for work on a municipal plot in the area.

The project site is identified at CTS No. 182-A (part), Village Ghatkopar, R.S. Bane Marg, Ghatkopar East. The estimated value of the tender is ₹6.96 crore.

The tender forms part of a proposed slum development, redevelopment and improvement initiative on the municipal property. BMC has specified an EMD of approximately ₹6.95 lakh for participating bidders, while the tender document carries a fee of ₹19,470.

The bidding process began in August, with the deadline for submission of bids set for 28 September 2026. The submitted bids are scheduled to be opened on 29 September 2026, subject to the applicable tender conditions.

BMC records indicate that the proposed scheme covers an area of approximately 4,046 sq m. The project is among the redevelopment initiatives being taken up on municipal land in Mumbai as the civic body works on schemes involving older and informal housing settlements.

The outcome of the tender process will determine the next stage of implementation. Further approvals and statutory requirements will also be applicable before the redevelopment can progress towards execution.

The Ghatkopar East project adds to the growing pipeline of redevelopment activity across Mumbai’s eastern suburbs, where several housing and rehabilitation schemes are currently moving through different stages of planning, tendering and approval.
