Arkade Developers Accuses Former CSO of Diverting Customer Deals, Alleged Forgery

FIR follows internal inquiry

Mumbai-based real estate developer Arkade Developers Ltd has accused its former Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Amita Singh, of alleged irregularities involving customer transactions, brokerage payments and company documents. An FIR has been registered in connection with the allegations, and the matter is currently under police investigation.

Customer transactions under scrutiny

According to Arkade’s allegations, customers who had approached the developer directly were allegedly diverted to transact through certain brokerage entities. The company has alleged that brokerage payments were subsequently facilitated by misusing the former executive’s official position.

Arkade has further alleged that Singh secured wrongful financial gains through brokerage and vendor-related transactions. The alleged financial gain has been reported at around ₹2 crore, although the exact amount remains subject to investigation.

Parking agreements questioned

The complaint also reportedly concerns agreements relating to additional car-parking spaces. Arkade has alleged that documents carrying a forged signature of a company director were prepared and registered.

These claims are allegations contained in the complaint and should not be treated as established findings of guilt unless proved through due legal process.

FIR registered

The case has reportedly been registered under Sections 318(3), 336(3), 338, 340 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

Police are investigating the allegations, while Arkade has said it is cooperating with the authorities and providing relevant records and documents.

Employment terminated

Singh’s employment with Arkade was terminated with effect from June 17, 2026.

The company’s disclosure stated that the action followed an internal review concerning alleged misconduct, breaches of company policies and fiduciary duties, as well as alleged unauthorised handling and transmission of confidential and proprietary company information to third parties.

Legal position remains clear

The matter highlights the importance of strong sales controls, brokerage oversight, document verification and internal compliance within the real estate sector.

However, an FIR is not a conviction. The allegations against the former CSO remain subject to police investigation and due process.

At present, the established position is that Arkade Developers has made the allegations, an FIR has been registered, Singh’s employment has ended, and the investigation is continuing.
