Coronavirus Act Responsibly

The coronavirus is Spreading like wildfire, the amount of people in Mumbai testing positive for COVID-19 is rising constantly. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has prepared, with this rise, 20 more hospitals with doctors and nurses at standby.

“Two, 140-bed hospitals in Vikhroli and Ghatkopar have been equipped with different entry gates and quarantine wards. In addition to these 20 hospitals, there are other hospitals that are being built for the care of COVID-19 patients, but getting this hospital is not the solution. People ought to remain socially distant and not leave their houses,” says Kishori Pednekar, the Mayor of Mumbai.

Mumbai’s houses are tiny yet people will act wisely to defeat COVID-19 by social distancing. The virus is dangerous for those who already have some diseases. People should periodically wash their hands, use sanitizers and while sneezing they should cover their mouth with their elbows.

Padnekar recommends, “If you want to serve the nation, then taking care of yourself and keeping a social distance is the way to do it. Take steam, gargle with warm water, don’t turn on the AC, keep social distance even with people in the house, and sanitize stuff you purchase or wash them with warm water and soap. Avoid getting your hands near your face and nose. Do not panic, put yourself in quarantine and the government are with you.”

Each citizen needs to take responsibility. A careless behaviour and no self-concern won’t stop this pandemic. At this crisis be responsible for your own health and safety.
