Twitter Sued for Failure to Pay Rent on San Francisco Office
Twitter Inc. was sued for failing to pay rent on its San Francisco office space of $136,250. Columbia Reit – 650 California LLC, the landlord, says it notified Twitter on December 16 that it would be in breach of its lease for the 30th floor of the Hartford Building in five days if the rent was not paid.
The tenant did not comply, according to Columbia Reit’s complaint, which was filed Thursday in state court in San Francisco.
Twitter hasn’t made payments on its headquarters or any of its other global offices in weeks, according to the New York Times. The company was also sued earlier this month for failing to reimburse for two charter flights.
Twitter did not respond to a request for a statement because it does not have a media department.
