The Ahmedabad civic body receives 1,088 applications for construction regularization.
AHMEDABAD: On Friday, the state urban development group announced that it had received 1,900 applications from cities and towns across the state under the new impact fee policy, the Gujarat Regularization of Unauthorized Development Ordinance (GRUDO) 2022.
According to the department, the urban development department has yet to review applications. Property owners who want to legalize their illegal construction must apply through the E-Nagar portal, according to a press release issued on Friday.
There were 1,088 applications for regularization of properties under the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), and 24 from owners of properties under the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda).
The department has stated that applicants are not required to provide a NOC from RERA or the Fire Department of the municipal corporation in which the property is located.
“According to GRUDO 2022 rule 9, the candidate is only needed to provide an endeavor and is not obliged to disclose NOCs from GujRERA or the fire department,” a senior urban development department official explained.
“Applications will be submitted to the appropriate department for further action via the e-Nagar gateway.”
