Property dealer’s licence is terminated after falsifying documents for Haryana RERA certification.
GURUGRAM: A property dealer who falsified documentation pertaining to his office address lost his H-Rera registration in what is likely the first instance of its kind.
Vineet Kejriwal used faked paperwork and the engineer’s signature to pass off RND Projects, an office in a Bristol hotel, as his rented space. Following the victim’s complaint, the deputy commissioner’s office conducted an investigation and concluded that the allegations were true. The DC then decided to cancel his Rera registration as a result.
“I filed a complaint against Kejriwal in July of last year with the DC’s office and H-Rera for fabricating documents to obtain the regulator’s certification at our company’s address,” the complainant Deepak Hans stated. Through an RTI request to obtain information about the city’s registered property sellers in response to a tip, I learned about the forgery.
In the RTI response, it was revealed that Kejriwal’s license listed the address of Shop number 30, GF, Bristol hotel, and was signed by DC Gurgaon.
“It was abundantly obvious that the accused fabricated and independently produced documents in order to deceive the DC office and gain the certification. Even the lease agreement was entirely contrived and phoney, he claimed.
The deputy commissioner ordered an investigation in response to the victim’s complaint, and the municipal magistrate was designated as the investigation officer.
“I have come to the opinion that Vineet Kejriwal’s submission of the documents to the authorities was most likely faked, and the accused has put himself at risk for the necessary legal action. The inquiry report said that the accused’s license may have been issued based on those materials.
Based on the findings of the investigation, the deputy commissioner ordered that Kejriwal’s Rera registration be canceled and suggested that the regulator take enforcement action against him. DC also wrote to the district revenue officer and the commissioner of police requesting that they take the accused into custody in accordance with the inquiry report’s recommendations.
Over 1,800 real estate agents registered with the authority have previously received warnings from H-Rera requesting them not to engage in unethical behavior.
