MahaRERA goes digital: get all projects detail just a click away
MahaRERA is making buying a home for a buyer easy day by day. The regulatory body has just made property buying more convenient by putting mapping all the development projects which are registered with them. Now a buyer has not run door to door for project details and information you can access all the detail just a click away.
Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority mapped almost over 4,000projects using Geographical Information System (GIS).
Home buyers just have to click on the project blimp to access the information, including all its certificates, registration number, and location coordinates.
“MahaRERA will be the first state real estate authority to provide this feature in the country,” said MahaRERA chairperson Gautam Chatterji.
How to navigate
On the MahaRERA website, go to the ‘Registrations’ dropdown and click on ‘Registered Projects’, which will open a separate tab. If you are looking for a particular project, feed in its details, or simply click on ‘View all projects on map’ on the right-hand side of the page. This will take you to the map and you can hover over the project blimps and select the one you are looking for.
“I think it is a good tool. Home buyers can also search for amenities close to the project – nearest railway station, bus stop, taxi stand, bank, ATM, hospital, pharmacy, religious places etc,” Chatterji elaborated adding that MahaRERA’s technical team would soon complete the mapping of all the 15,900 projects registered with it.
Maharashtra has been the leading state in implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA) which came into existence on May 1, 2017. It was the first state to formulate its rules, set up the online portal for registration of ongoing real estate projects and real estate agents, and MahaRERA has resolved more than 900 grievances.
