Government to launch an e-commerce platform for the real estate sector by January 2020.
According to the recent updates, Union Housing and Urban Affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated, that the central government is going to establish an e-commerce platform for the real estate sector.
On Monday, Puri said at the first National RERA conclave in Lucknow, “I had a discussion with CREDAI and NAREDCO and very soon we’ll build the e-Commerce platform for the real estate sector”.
The two major national real estate developers body is CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India) and NAREDCO (National Real Estate Development Council). The aim of the e-commerce platform is to achieve transparency in the sector and to provide only certified projects. “The platform will have a list of projects which has received the Occupancy Certificate (OC) and will be launched by January. The purchase will be online, and NAREDCO will sell, which will allow responsibility to be remedied,” says Parveen Jain, NAREDCO Vice President.
