Food Subsidies will be given to Construction Workers – Maharashtra Scheme

The Maharashtra government has propelled an exceptional plan for construction workers in the express that means to give food to 20,000 workers in the first phase of its new scheme.
The Maharashtra Government launched a scheme called Atal Aahar Yojana which will provide high-quality hygienic food at a subsidies rate to construction workers. As per government officials, the implementation of the scheme will be taken first in some areas of the state and later as per its response, the scheme will be expanded in different parts. At the first phase of this Yojana, it will cover 20,000 workers who will be getting hygienic food at just Rs.5.
The chief minister of Nagpur Mr Devendra Fadnavis said, “Almost 10 lakh workers have been enrolled with the Labor Board in the state up until this point. However, we won’t stop at simply enlisting their names and we will likewise attempt to give advantages of each welfare plan to them.” The scheme will transform the lives of these laborers, said Fadnavis.
Further, he added The legislature will give all conceivable help on three fronts education, income and health to the construction laborers. It is as of now giving an endowment of Rs 4.5 lakhs to workers, for house development, Under the Shramev Jayate Yojana. An annuity of Rs 3,000 is given to development labourers over the age of 60 years and in the event of a laborer’s death, the annuity will be given to his widow, he included. Under the plan, 2.5 lakh workers have been enlisted up until this point. We intend to enroll around 24 lakh workers sooner rather than later, the chief minister said. Under the Jan Aarogya Yojana, workers are given medical facilities up to Rs 1.5 lakhs.
